Hi everyone! I’d like to share an app I’ve been working on: JadeSnap · 玥记.
The idea is simple: I have plenty of photos on my phone, but after taking them, I rarely look at them again. I wanted to build something that would encourage me to pick a few, add a little note, and turn them into photo cards or a small photo book.
A trip, dinner with friends, or even a patch of sunlight spotted on a walk—little moments like these can become keepsakes.
With JadeSnap, you can:
- Take photos in the app or import them from your photo library.
- Apply photo effects and add frames, text, stickers, and handwriting.
- Arrange multiple photos into collages or photo books.
- Save and share your creations, or prepare layouts for printing.
I’m particularly excited to try using it with a photo printer: take some photos, put them together in JadeSnap, then print them for a journal, an album, or a small gift for someone who was there with you. I’m planning to take some new photos over the upcoming holiday and share the whole process, from editing to printing.
JadeSnap doesn’t require an account, and photos and edits are stored locally on your device. Basic photography, single-photo editing, and saving are free. Some advanced features are available through JadeSnap Pro, a one-time lifetime purchase.
