Privacy Policy
This policy explains how GeekGravity (lklkl.com) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the website or mobile app.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, encrypted password, and, when SMS verification is enabled, a phone number.
- User content: submissions, comments, Forum and Space messages, reports, and images or files you choose to upload.
- Device, network, and service data: IP address, approximate country or region inferred from the network, browser or user agent, login time and outcome, device name or model, platform, app version, notification token, and limited runtime-error and diagnostic information.
- Local data: some favorites, notes, and tools data may remain only on your device unless you sign in or explicitly sync it.
- Usage and preference data: cookies or similar technologies may maintain sessions, language, theme, and essential analytics. Network-derived location is aggregated only at country or region level and is not used to build individual location profiles. We do not collect precise location or use data for cross-app tracking.
2. Microphone and voice chat
The app accesses microphone audio only after you actively join a Space voice chat and grant permission. Audio is transmitted in real time through our voice infrastructure to participants in the same room. GeekGravity does not record or retain voice content by default. If recording is introduced later, we will provide a separate notice and request any required consent before it is enabled.
3. How we use information
We use it to provide accounts, content, community participation, bookmarks, notifications, moderation, security, and support; to maintain and improve the service; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-app tracking.
4. Service providers
We may use email delivery, avatar, object-storage, content-delivery, notification, voice-communication, and infrastructure providers only as needed to operate the service. For example, an avatar provider may receive a one-way email hash and network request data; a push provider receives a push token and notification payload; and a voice provider processes participant identifiers and live audio when a user actively joins a room. Providers should receive only information necessary for the relevant function, and their own policies may also apply.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored on our servers and selected service providers and is transmitted using HTTPS, WSS, or other encrypted channels. Account data and user content are generally retained until the user deletes them, closes the account, or the service no longer needs them. Detailed login-security records are retained for up to 180 days by default. Records necessary for security, fraud prevention, report handling, victim protection, or legal obligations may be retained longer as permitted by law. Backup copies age out through the applicable backup-rotation schedule. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
You may request access to or correction of account information. To delete an account, use Me → Delete account in the mobile app or the account-deletion entry in the web Personal Center. See the Account Deletion page. If you cannot sign in, contact [email protected] so we can verify ownership. You can also withdraw photo, microphone, and notification permissions in system settings.
7. Children
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use an account. If applicable law in your location requires a higher minimum age, that higher age applies. Users aged 13 through 17 may use the service only with parent or guardian consent and guidance where required by applicable law. See our Child Safety Standards.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this policy and will publish the current version here. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
